As Java 7 has reached End-Of-Life, the organization will attempt to upgrade all servers Java 8. We are running Sybase on Linux (Redhat) and these boxes will be updated as well. Are there any compatibility issues running Sybase with this version installed? As I understand it SAP products, including some of the ASE pieces like dbisql and SCC, usually rely on an SAP JVM (7.x) distributed with the product and installed in the $SYBASE/shared directory. They do not generally use a 3rd party JVM as it may not reside on the machine at installation.
Should be concerned? I am running CE 15.7 SP132
